T-MOBILE WORLD CUP OFFER

T-Mobile has outlined the consumer content of its World Cup and England team sponsorship packages.

From June, it will offer 3 and 4 minute match highlight clips on its mobile TV channel an hour after the final whistle.

Trial pricing will be £1 a day or £5 a month for unlimited access.

T-Mobile also announced that 86% of the tickets it is allocated through its sponsorship deal will be made available to fans through marketing and promotions.

NEW MOTOROLA RED PEBL

The original PEBL came in a cool natural black, but just like the other colourful success stories including the cosmic blue RAZR and the pink L6, it has taken on a whole new life with this change of appearance.

At first glance the new PEBL could almost be a sculptural work of art, which attracts admiration as soon as it’s pulled from a pocket or handbag. However, with video capture and playback, still photography and integrated Bluetooth, it’s also loaded with the features demanded by today’s users.

SONY ERICSSON PROFITS

Sony Ericsson has seen quarterly profits double due to sales of its Walkman products.

The company expects global sales to top 900 million units this year, compared to 780 million in 2005.

SAMSUNG 3G PINK

Samsung launched the pink Z500 3G video calling-enabled handset this month, available exclusively on Vodafone. Aimed specifically at women, the pink and silver handset has an MP3 player and 50MB of internal memory , expandable to 250 MB.

VODAFONE LAUNCHES WEATHER TV

Vodafone is launching a news and weather mobile TV service in partnership with ITN. The 24 hour streamed news channel will deliver worldwide and local news every 15 minutes.

The weather channel, produced alongside the Met Office, will provide weather updates across 9 UK regions as well as 5 day forecasts.
